Love – part 3

Love does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  1 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)

Dishonor means to disgrace, shame, or discredit.  It means to humiliate, degrade, or lower.  Love does not dishonor.

Self-seeking means the seeking of one’s own interests or selfish ends.  It means to be selfish.  Love is not self-seeking.

Easily angered means to be bad-tempered, easily annoyed or impatient.  It usually involves making snap judgments and seeking immediate vindication.  Love is not easily angered.

Keeping no record of wrongs means to have a spirit of reconciliation and forgiveness.  It means letting go of past hurts.  Love keeps no record of wrongs.

Now…apply this to your marriage!
