1 Corinthians 13:7

Protect means to keep safe from harm or injury, safeguard, preserve, shield, shelter, secure, watch over, take care of, keep.  Love always protects.

Trust means to firmly believe in someone’s reliability, truth, strength, and ability –  to have confidence, certainty, and assurance.  Love always trusts.

Persevere means to continue even in the face of difficulty, keep on going, see it through, stand firm, hold on, go the distance.  Love always perseveres.

Hope means to have a positive expectation or desire for something to turn out well – to have a dream or to anticipate a good result.  Love always hopes.
