The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Genesis 39: 2-4 NIV)
We are all on mission.
When opposition comes, don’t become discouraged. God allows things for our good. He is maneuvering us to get us to the place of blessing and service He wants us to be.
So, don’t fret or worry when opposition comes. Don’t fight it. Be patient, stay on mission, and be open to God’s leading.
Joseph experienced opposition as God maneuvered him to a position of influence and great blessing. God used what was meant for evil to bring about ultimate good in his life.
He used him to bless the very brothers who mistreated him. Joseph stayed on mission … serving God, praying for those who took evil action against him, and, in the end—forgiving them and allowing God to use him to bless them.
So let’s not allow adverse circumstances to distract us from what God has called us to do. Let’s stay on mission!
