For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 6:38 (NASB)
Can you visualize the day when Christ took off His royal robe and laid aside His crown—to come down here and get us—to rescue us—to save us?
As the pastor spoke these words, tears came to my eyes as I visualized the scenario in my mind. Amazing truth and yet I had never thought of it quite this way.
He humbled Himself, left His heavenly home to come and walk on the earth, die an excruciating death on the cross—for you and for me. Words cannot describe this kind of love.
And yet, many still reject Him, reject His sacrifice and His love.
Jesus humbled Himself to do His Father’s will. And yet, many refuse to humble themselves—to raise a hand, or walk an aisle, when they hear the invitation to accept Him as their Savior.
My prayer is that you will not allow your pride to keep you from running into His outstretched arms!
Pastor’s statement of this “reality” brought tears to my eyes as well! Wow… that truly made it SO REAL… like no other statement has done before!
